gettrdev — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the gettrdev Reddit application and the related curation service at posts.gettrdev.org (together, the "Service"). By interacting with the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service does
The Service is a news-curation tool. It reads publicly available posts (title, outbound article link, score, comment count, and preview-image address) from public subreddits, and forwards that public metadata to the operator's private review dashboard. A human operator reviews each candidate and may re-share the story headline and its original article link on the operator's own publishing channels, with the article source visible.
2. What the Service does not do
- It does not post, comment, message, or vote on Reddit.
- It does not read private communities, private messages, or user profiles.
- It does not copy article text or Reddit post bodies; only headlines and links are shared.
3. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service (including its dashboard or ingestion endpoints), disrupt its operation, or use it to distribute unlawful content.
4. Intellectual property
Headlines and articles remain the property of their respective publishers. Reddit content remains subject to Reddit's User Agreement. The Service claims no ownership over third-party content it links to.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from content on linked third-party sites.
6. Changes and termination
The operator may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
