gettrdev — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes what information the gettrdev Reddit application and the curation service at posts.gettrdev.org (together, the "Service") handle, and how.

1. Information we do not collect

The Service does not collect, store, or process personal information about Reddit users. Specifically, it does not access or store usernames, account data, private messages, votes, browsing activity, IP addresses of Reddit users, or any content from private communities. It sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

2. Information we process

The Service processes only public post metadata from public subreddits: post title, outbound article URL, post identifier, subreddit name, score, comment count, and the address of the post's preview image. This is the same information visible to anyone browsing Reddit logged out. No author usernames are stored.

3. How that information is used and stored

Public post metadata is transmitted over HTTPS to the operator's infrastructure (Cloudflare) and stored in a database for editorial review. Approved items result in a public post on the operator's own publishing channels containing the story headline and the original article link. Metadata is retained until the operator deletes it.

4. Dashboard session cookie

The private dashboard at posts.gettrdev.org sets a single authentication cookie for the operator only after PIN login. Visitors who do not log in receive no cookies.

5. Sharing

The Service does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare; Reddit's Developer Platform) process data only as needed to run the Service.

6. Children

The Service is not directed at children and processes no personal data about any individual.

7. Changes

Updates to this policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
